Our Story 

Our proprietary mobile parking payment system was created in 2006 and has completed millions of successful transactions since its inception. This system of mobile payments has allowed participating municipalities to reach the highest percentage of customers of mobile payment parking —over 90% of all payments made — anywhere around the globe. Our system is tethered to users mobile phone bills or prepaid phone balances instead of their credit or debit cards. It requires no registration and relies solely on the sending of a text message to a phone number, the last digits of which are made up of the zip code and/or unique area number of any given location. Our telco and banking grade IT system compliant with all Visa and Mastercard security audits ensures all customer data is always safe and secure, while our great working relationships with telecommunications providers helps us integrate this innovative mobile payment solution quickly and seamlessly.

How LAparq works (for users)

No registration, ID,

All you need is your phone.

Step One: Find a parking spot

Step Two: 

Text your license plate to the number found on the sticker by the parking signage 

(&check the answer message for info on parking limits & restrictions for your chosen spot) 

 

Step Three: When you’re ready to leave, just text STOP to the same number to end your parking session 

(So you only pay for actual minutes parked)

Done. You have nothing else to do.

No apps, no registration, no cash, no credit card — in short, no hassle. The cost of your parking session will be debited to your phone bill or deducted from your prepaid phone balance.

If you forget to stop your session, don’t worry: the system will alert you per text 15 minutes before time runs out, then end your parking session automatically.

Ps.: You can pay for your friends and family, too: just text any license plate, from any phone, to the number found on the sticker by parking signage.
